I specialize in supporting late identified Autistic / ADHD adults (whether self-Identified, formally diagnosed or wondering) with identity exploration, unmasking, burnout recovery/prevention and with creating a life that supports overall wellbeing.
Together we can identify some practical tools for sensory self-care, develop skills to address any relationship and communication challenges, identify executive functioning support needs and learn how to best navigate system supports for yourself or your family.
Whether you are managing chronic health conditions, dismantling internalized ableism or in the process of reviewing your life in light of this new understanding of yourself, it is my honor to help you access your own inner guidance and wisdom in service of creating a balanced and meaningful life lived in alignment with your own values and interests.
My approach is neurodiversity affirming, trauma informed, collaborative and strengths based. I work with you to establish a focus for our time together and continually collaborate with you to find the best way to support you with whatever is bringing you to counseling. I draw from a variety of modalities depending upon your strengths, interest and inclinations.
In addition to individual counseling, also provide:
• Neurodiversity affirming Autism and ADHD assessments for adults (Collaborative Autism / ADHD Identification)
• Consultation and coaching for parents of neurodivergent
children, including system navigation, resource and support access, advocacy needs
• Clinical consultation and supervision – specializing in neurodiversity affirming care.
• Neurodiversity related in-services and presentations for organizations
I am committed to providing anti-racist, anti-oppression, culturally responsive Trans and LGBTIQ+ affirming care by recognizing and honoring the many intersections that make up our identities and by ongoing self-examination and personal work.
About Me
I am bringing 25 + years of clinical experience as a counselor in addition to my lived experience as a neurodivergent AuDHD person. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, school-based work, telehealth case management for an Autism program, and in private practice. I’ve worked with gifted, 2E, HSPs, introverts, artists, writers, healers and creatives for many years before I was introduced to the neurodiversity framework and since then this lens has transformed how I understand myself, many of my loved ones, as well as my clients.
I graduated from Naropa University with an MA in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology. I received my BA in Studio Art / Psychology from Scripps College.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Addiction Counselor III in the State of CO. I am also a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. I am a lifelong learner and in the past 4 years I have completed 100's of hours of continuing education trainings on Neurodiversity affirming care.
In my free time I am often out exploring the woods with friends, playing with my cat, trying out a new vegan recipe or engaged in a deep dive into a topic of interest.
